1. Location:

Geographically Chalan Beel (চলনবিল) situated in South Asia at North Part of Bangladesh. And in Bangladesh It's situated in Rajshahi division in north Bengle. Chalan Beel are surrounded by four district that is Natore, Pabna, Sirajganj and Rajshahi. For your clarification here I've attached Google map of Chalan Beel and also a rare drawing map of Chalan Beel which is from Dr. Abdul Hamid Sir's authored book "চলনবিলের পাখি" that means "The bird of Chalanbil". So lets brows this map in Earth or satellite version and discover really where Chalan Beel located.

2. Description:

Chalanabila(চলনবিল) the largest bill(Water land) in South Asia. Chalanbil consist of many different small and large canal, pond with a wide range of area, In rainy season it’s filled up with water and in winter it’s turn into desert. The total area of Chalanbil is approximately 368 square kilometers. Surrounding four districts - Rajshahi, Natore, Sirajganj, Pabna and across its width. Raygonj Upazila and Chatmohor Upazila of Sirajganj and Pabna district has been among  the most area of Chalanbil. Singra(সিংড়া) Upazila of Natore(নাটোর) district on one side, another side is the river Gumani(গুমানী). In south east side of the Chalanbil there the village Austamanisa of Pabna district situated, where river Gumani and Boral has joined together. However, a large portion of Chalanbil has been placed in Upazila Tarasa of Sirajganj District. In width Chalanbil is about 13 k.m from Tarash to Narayanpur, and in length Chalanbil is about 24 km from Singra to Kasikata.

Travelling throw Chalnbil is really a great experience. If you have became a traveler, and if your destination is set from Dhaka to Rajshahi. Then in the journey you can discover the beauty of Chalanbil whether it summer or winter, every season Chalanbil is colorful.
